On Tuesday, a new study suggested young children immunised with 3 milligrams or more of aluminium-containing vaccines had a 36% higher risk of developing persistent asthma than kids who got fewer vaccines. In the US, about 4% of children have persistent asthma. Asthma is defined as a condition that can cause spasms in the lungs, usually resulting from an allergic reaction.

According to US recommendations, children should be vaccinated against 15 diseases by the age of 2, of which aluminium adjuvants are present in seven of them. For a long time, aluminium adjuvants have been considered safe and effective. However, several experts have noted an increase in the rates of allergies and asthma among children.
